Internet Goes Dark in Protest of SOPA
Major web services such as Wikipedia and Reddit as well as hundreds of smaller websites have blackened their pages today in protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). Google censored its logo for U.S. users and published a blog post explaining the dangers of SOPA and PIPA. Learn about the dangers of SOPA here.
Yahoo's Jerry Yang Resigns
Former Yahoo CEO and co-founder Jerry Yang has resigned from Yahoo. "My time at Yahoo, from its founding to the present, has encompassed some of the most exciting and rewarding experiences of my life. However, the time has come for me to pursue other interests outside of Yahoo,” wrote Yang in his resignation letter.
Facebook to Introduce New Open Graph Apps and Gestures Today
Facebook is slated to introduce new Open Graph apps and social Gestures at an event in San Francisco later today. Reports claim Facebook will unveil a group of apps that use Gestures beyond the simple “read” and “watch” buttons.
