Good luck finding the all-new Apple store planned for Aix en Provence, France; it’s going to be practically invisible.

The Apple store, to be finished later this year, will push the barely-there glass aesthetic common in most Apple stores — notably the glass cubes around uptown Manhattan — to their structural extreme.

The artist rendering below, from AixEnProvence.fr magazine, shows that the store will be a low-lying building made entirely of glass walls with just one solid, wood wall where the Genius Bar would be.

The new store is expected to open in late 2012 or early 2013, ifoAppleStore.com reported. It will replace a tourism office on the South side of Place du General de Gaulle, a central square in the city.

Despite the Apple store’s ephemeral look, it is built to Aix en Provence’s new earthquake standards while simultaneously fitting in with the neighborhood’s newly renovated, upscale shops.

Does this design beat the one in Apple’s recently-opened Grand Central store? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
