There’s been a lot of chatter on the Internet about the implications of SOPA (we’ve even debated it in the office). Large companies, including Wikipedia, Reddit and The Cheezburger Network, have agreed to black out their sites on Wednesday’s national day of protest.

We’ve also noticed a lack of coverage in the mainstream press, so we took to the streets, or rather, to Madison Square Park, to find out what the average New Yorker knows about SOPA, and to determine his or her thoughts on piracy and Internet freedom.

Have an opinion about SOPA or PIPA? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments, or take our SOPA poll below.
